Chicken Tenders
1. Prepare Chicken
Cut the chicken breast into strips, about 1 inch wide.
2. Set Up Breading Station
In three separate bowls, set up your breading station: one for flour, one for beaten eggs, and one for bread crumbs mixed with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
3. Bread the Chicken
Dip each chicken strip in the flour, making sure to coat it well. Then, dip it into the beaten eggs, and finally coat it with the bread crumb mixture.
4. Heat Oil
In a large skillet, heat 2 cups of vegetable oil over medium heat until shimmering.
5. Fry Chicken Tenders
Carefully add the breaded chicken strips to the hot oil, frying in batches if necessary. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
French Fries
6. Prepare Potatoes
Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick.
7. Soak Potatoes
Soak the potato strips in cold water for 30 minutes to remove excess starch. Drain and pat dry with a paper towel.
8. Heat Oil
In a deep fryer or a large pot, heat 2 cups of vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
9. Fry Potatoes
Carefully add the potato strips in batches to the hot oil. Fry for about 5-7 minutes or until they are golden and crispy. Remove and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
10. Season Fries
Sprinkle with salt to taste while still hot.
