Prime Rib

Method

Prime Rib Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Prime Rib

Preheat the oven to 450°F (232°C). Rub the prime rib roast with olive oil, then season generously with kosher salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and dried rosemary.

  2. 2

    Roast the Prime Rib

Place the seasoned prime rib on a roasting rack in a roasting pan. Roast for 20 minutes at 450°F, then reduce the temperature to 325°F (163°C) and continue roasting for about 1.5 to 2 hours or until the internal temperature reaches 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare.

  3. 3

    Rest the Meat

Remove the prime rib from the oven and let it rest for at least 20-30 minutes before slicing to allow the juices to redistribute.

Sides Preparation

  1. 4

    Prepare Sides

While the meat is resting, prepare the creamed spinach and roasted garlic mashed potatoes according to your favorite recipes. Bake the Yorkshire pudding according to package instructions.

  2. 5

    Serve

Slice the prime rib and serve it alongside the creamed spinach, roasted garlic mashed potatoes, and Yorkshire pudding. Drizzle with horseradish sauce as desired.
