Marinade

For Serving

Method

Marinating Chicken

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a large mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, pineapple juice, brown sugar, ketchup, grated ginger, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes. Whisk until fully incorporated.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Chicken

Add the chicken thighs to the marinade, ensuring they are fully coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.

Grilling Chicken

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.

  2. 4

    Grill the Chicken

Remove the chicken from the marinade and place it on the grill. Cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).

  3. 5

    Baste with Marinade

During the last few minutes of grilling, baste the chicken with the leftover marinade for added flavor.

Serving

  1. 6

    Serve the Dish

Once cooked, remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes. Serve with cooked white rice and macaroni salad on the side.
