Method

Prepare and Bake

  1. 1

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease four ramekins with butter and dust with flour to prevent sticking.

  2. 2

    Melt Chocolate and Butter

In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the butter and semi-sweet chocolate. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until melted and smooth.

  3. 3

    Mix Ingredients

Whisk in the granulated sugar into the melted chocolate mixture until well combined. Then add the eggs and egg yolks, mixing until fully incorporated. Stir in the vanilla extract.

  4. 4

    Add Flour

Gently fold in the flour until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

  5. 5

    Fill Ramekins

Divide the batter evenly among the prepared ramekins, filling them about ¾ full.

  6. 6

    Bake

Place the ramekins on a baking sheet and bake for 12-14 minutes, or until the edges are firm but the center is still soft.

  7. 7

    Cool and Serve

Remove from oven and let cool for 1 minute. Carefully invert each ramekin onto a plate. Serve immediately with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.
