Method
Preparing the Ribs
- 1
Season the Ribs
In a small bowl, mix together salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Rub the seasoning mixture all over the pork ribs, ensuring they are evenly coated.
- 2
Prepare the Slow Cooker
Place the seasoned ribs into the slow cooker, standing them on their side if necessary to fit.
Making the BBQ Sauce

Combine Ingredients
In a medium saucepan, combine ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, honey, smoked paprika, mustard, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
- 4
Simmer the Sauce
Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to low and let it simmer for about 15 minutes until it thickens slightly.
Cooking the Ribs
- 5
Add Sauce to the Ribs
Pour half of the BBQ sauce over the ribs in the slow cooker, reserving the other half for later.
- 6
Slow Cook the Ribs
Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or until the ribs are tender and the meat pulls away from the bone easily.
