Method

Preparation of Meats

  1. 1

    Prepare Pulled Pork

If not already cooked, slow cook the pork shoulder with spices and BBQ sauce for about 8 hours on low heat until tender. Shred the pork using two forks.

  2. 2

    Prepare Smoked Brisket

Rub the brisket with your favorite spice mix and smoke it at 225°F (107°C) for about 10-12 hours, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 195°F (90°C). Slice thinly against the grain.

Preparation of Sides

  1. 3

    Make Coleslaw

In a large bowl, mix shredded cabbage, carrots, and coleslaw dressing. Toss to combine and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.

  2. 4

    Prepare BBQ Baked Beans

Heat canned baked beans in a pot over medium heat until warmed through. You can add extra BBQ sauce and bacon for flavor.

  3. 5

    Make Cornbread

Prepare cornbread mix according to package instructions. Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for about 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

Assembly

  1. 6

    Plate the BBQ Platter

On a large serving platter, arrange the pulled pork and smoked brisket. Add the coleslaw, BBQ baked beans, and cornbread pieces. Drizzle BBQ sauce over the meats and serve hot with hot sauce on the side.
