Pork Preparation

Season the Pork
Rub the pork shoulder with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and cayenne pepper. Ensure the seasoning is evenly distributed across the meat.

Slow Cook the Pork
Place the seasoned pork shoulder in a slow cooker. Cook on low for 8-10 hours, or until the meat is fork-tender and easily shreds.

Mix the BBQ Sauce
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir well and let simmer for about 15 minutes until slightly thickened.

Combine with Pork
Once the pork is cooked, shred the meat using two forks and mix it with the prepared BBQ sauce in the slow cooker. Stir until the pork is well-coated.

Prepare the Buns
Toast the hamburger buns lightly if desired.

Place a generous portion of the pulled pork on the bottom half of each bun. Top with coleslaw, then close with the top half of the bun.
