Taco Filling

Method

Fish Preparation

  1. 1

    Marinate the Fish

In a bowl, combine olive oil, lime juice, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Add the fish fillets and coat them well. Let them marinate for at least 15 minutes.

  2. 2

    Grill the Fish

Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill the marinated fish for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until cooked through and flaky. Remove from heat and let rest for a few minutes before flaking into bite-sized pieces.

Salsa Preparation

  1. 3

    Make the Salsa

In a mixing bowl, combine diced tomatoes, red onion, cilantro, jalapeño (if using), lime juice, and salt. Mix well and let sit for 10 minutes to allow flavors to meld.

Assembling the Tacos

  1. 4

    Warm the Tortillas

In a dry skillet over medium heat, warm the corn tortillas for about 30 seconds on each side or until pliable.

  2. 5

    Assemble the Tacos

To each tortilla, add a portion of the grilled fish, top with shredded cabbage, slices of avocado, and a generous spoonful of salsa. Serve immediately.
