Method

Cheese Mixture

  1. 1

    Prepare Cheese Mixture

In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, shredded pepperjack cheese, and shredded gouda cheese. Mix until well blended and set aside.

Mac and Cheese

  1. 2

    Cook Macaroni

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the elbow macaroni and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. 3

    Make Cheese Sauce

In the same pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted, whisk in the flour and cook for 1 minute. Gradually add the milk while whisking continuously until the mixture thickens.

  3. 4

    Combine Mac and Cheese

Once the sauce has thickened, add the cheese mixture to the pot and stir until melted and smooth. Add the cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce, and mix well. Season with salt and black pepper.

Pulled Pork

    Prepare Pulled Pork

In a saucepan, combine the cooked pulled pork and sweet BBQ sauce. Heat over medium heat until warmed through, stirring occasionally.

Assembly

  1. 6

    Assemble the Dish

Toast the sourdough bread slices until golden brown. Spread a layer of sweet jalapeno jam on top of each slice. Top with a generous portion of mac and cheese, followed by the BBQ pulled pork. Serve immediately.
