Method

Pimento Cheese Preparation

  1. 1

    Make the Pimento Cheese

In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, sharp cheddar cheese, pimento peppers, mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until smooth and well combined.

Bacon and Tomato Jam Preparation

  1. 2

Prepare the Bacon and Tomato Jam

In a skillet, cook chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Add diced tomatoes, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, and salt. Simmer for about 20 minutes until thickened.

Calamari Preparation

  1. 3

    Bread the Calamari

Set up a breading station with flour, beaten egg, and breadcrumbs. Season calamari filets with salt and black pepper. Dredge in flour, dip in egg, and coat with breadcrumbs.

  2. 4

    Fry the Calamari

In a deep skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Fry calamari strips in batches until golden and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per batch. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Wasabi Aioli Preparation

  1. 5

    Prepare the Wasabi Aioli

In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, wasabi paste, lemon juice, and minced garlic until smooth.

Toasting the Baguette

  1. 6

    Toast the Baguette

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet, brush with olive oil, and toast in the oven for about 5-7 minutes until golden and crispy.
