Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Pie Crust
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Roll out your pie crust and fit it into a 9-inch pie plate. Crimp the edges as desired and set aside.
- 2
Make the Filling
In a large mixing bowl, combine the corn syrup, brown sugar, melted butter, bourbon, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix well until smooth. Add in the eggs one at a time, stirring to combine after each addition. Fold in the chopped pecans.
- 3
Bake the Pie
Pour the pecan filling into the prepared pie crust. Bake in the preheated oven for 60-70 minutes, or until the filling is set and the top is golden brown. You may cover the edges of the crust with foil if they brown too quickly.
- 4
Cool and Serve
Allow the pie to cool for at least 2 hours before slicing. Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream if desired.
