Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Take the Baseball Cut Sirloin Steak out of the refrigerator and let it come to room temperature, about 30 minutes before cooking.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Pat the steak dry with paper towels. Rub both sides with olive oil, then season generously with kosher salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.

  3. 3

    Preheat the Pan

Heat a cast-iron skillet or heavy-bottomed pan over high heat until it is very hot, about 5-7 minutes.

  4. 4

    Cook the Steak

Place the seasoned steak in the hot skillet. Cook for 4-5 minutes without moving it to develop a nice crust. Flip the steak and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes for medium-rare, adjusting the time for your desired doneness.

  5. 5

    Add Butter and Herbs

In the last minute of cooking, add the butter and fresh rosemary to the pan. Spoon the melted butter over the steak for added flavor.

  6. 6

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest on a cutting board for 5-10 minutes before slicing.

  7. 7

    Serve

Slice against the grain and serve with your choice of sides.
