Directions
- 1
Prepare the Patties
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until well combined and form into 4 equal-sized patties.
- 2
Cook the Patties
Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the patties, place a slice of Sharp Cheddar cheese on each patty, and cook for another 4-5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the patties are cooked to your desired doneness.
- 3
Prepare the Toppings
While the patties are cooking, thinly slice the red onion and tomato.

Assemble the Burgers
Toast the burger buns lightly on the grill or in a toaster. On the bottom half of each bun, place a leaf of lettuce, followed by the cooked patty with melted cheese, a few slices of red onion, and a generous drizzle of creamy steak sauce. Top with a slice of tomato and the other half of the bun.
