Pasta

Method

Pasta Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Linguine

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the linguine pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes.

  2. 2

    Drain and Set Aside

Once cooked, drain the pasta and set it aside, reserving a little pasta water in case you need to loosen the sauce later.

Vegetable Preparation

  1. 3

    Sauté Vegetables

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and sauté for about 2-3 minutes until they become translucent.

  2. 4

    Add Remaining Vegetables

Add the sliced mushrooms, broccoli florets, and julienned carrots to the skillet. Sauté for an additional 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.

Sauce Preparation

  1. 5

    Add Garlic and Marinara

Stir in the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant. Then, pour in the marinara sauce and add the Italian seasoning and black pepper. Stir to combine.

  2. 6

    Simmer the Sauce

Allow the sauce to simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. If the sauce is too thick, add a little reserved pasta water to reach desired consistency.

Garlic Bread Preparation

  1. 7

    Prepare the Garlic Butter

In a small bowl, mix the softened butter with the minced garlic and chopped parsley until well combined.

  2. 8

    Spread on Bread

Slice the French bread or baguette in half lengthwise and spread the garlic butter mixture evenly on both halves.

  3. 9

    Toast the Bread

Place the bread under the broiler for 2-3 minutes until golden and crispy, watching closely to prevent burning.

Final Assembly

  1. 10

    Combine Pasta and Sauce

Add the cooked linguine to the skillet with the sauce and vegetables. Toss to coat the pasta evenly with the sauce.

  2. 11

    Serve

Plate the pasta primavera and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese. Serve immediately alongside the garlic bread.
