Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation of Herb Butter

  1. 1

    Make the Herb Butter

In a medium bowl, combine the softened unsalted butter, chopped parsley, chopped thyme, minced garlic, and lemon juice. Mix until well combined.

  2. 2

    Season the Butter

Add salt and black pepper to taste. Mix again until the seasoning is evenly distributed.

  3. 3

    Shape the Butter

Transfer the herb butter mixture onto a piece of plastic wrap. Roll it into a log shape and twist the ends to seal. Refrigerate until firm, about 30 minutes.

Cooking the Sirloin

  1. 4

    Prepare the Grill

Preheat your grill to high heat, around 450°F to 500°F (232°C to 260°C). Ensure the grates are clean and lightly oiled to prevent sticking.

  2. 5

    Season the Steak

Take the 9 oz sirloin steak and season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.

  3. 6

    Grill the Steak

Place the seasoned sirloin steak on the hot grill. For medium-rare, grill for about 4-5 minutes on one side without moving it. Flip the steak and grill for another 4-5 minutes. Adjust time for desired doneness.

  4. 7

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for about 5 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute for a more flavorful steak.

  5. 8

    Serve

Slice the herb butter into rounds and place it on top of the hot sirloin steak just before serving. Enjoy!
