Method

Shrimp Preparation

  1. 1

In a large pot, add 4 cups of water, the halved lemon, and 1 tablespoon of Old Bay seasoning. Bring the mixture to a boil over high heat.

  2. 2

Once the water reaches a rolling boil, add the shrimp and cook for about 2-3 minutes, or until they turn pink and opaque. Do not overcook.

  3. 3

Remove the shrimp from the pot using a slotted spoon and transfer them to a bowl filled with ice water to stop the cooking process. Let them cool for a few minutes.

  4. 4

Drain the shrimp and pat them dry with paper towels.

Cocktail Sauce Preparation

  1. 5

    Mixing the Sauce

In a medium bowl, combine 1 cup of ketchup, 2 tablespoons of prepared horseradish, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce, and 1 teaspoon of hot sauce.

  2. 6

Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.

  3. 7

Taste the sauce and add salt to your preference.

Serving

  1. 8

Arrange the cooked shrimp on a serving platter.

  2. 9

Serve with the cocktail sauce on the side for dipping.
