Crab Cakes

Broiled Asparagus

Method

Crab Cakes

  1. 1

    Prepare the Mixture

In a large bowl, combine crab meat, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, egg, breadcrumbs, green onion, old bay seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

  2. 2

    Form the Cakes

Shape the mixture into patties, about 3 inches in diameter. You should have approximately 6 crab cakes.

  3. 3

    Cook the Cakes

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add crab cakes and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown. Remove and set aside.

Grilled Shrimp

  1. 4

    Marinate the Shrimp

In a bowl, combine shrimp with olive oil, minced garlic, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Toss to coat well and let it marinate for about 15 minutes.

  2. 5

    Grill the Shrimp

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Thread shrimp onto skewers and grill for about 2-3 minutes per side or until they turn pink and opaque.

Broiled Asparagus

  1. 6

    Prepare the Asparagus

Preheat the broiler. Toss asparagus with olive oil, salt, and black pepper.

  2. 7

    Broil the Asparagus

Place asparagus on a baking sheet and broil for about 5-7 minutes, turning halfway through, until tender and slightly charred.

Chipotle Aioli

  1. 8

    Make the Aioli

In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, minced chipotle pepper, lime juice, minced garlic, and salt. Mix well until smooth.

Assembly

  1. 9

    Plate the Dish

On a large serving plate, arrange the mixed greens and top with crab cakes and grilled shrimp. Serve with broiled asparagus on the side and drizzle chipotle aioli over the top.
