Method

Preparing the Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Mix the Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently until just combined.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a ½ inch thick patty. Make a small indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking.

Cooking the Burger

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, about 400°F (200°C).

  2. 4

    Cook the Patties

Place the patties on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the patties and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes, or until they reach an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).

Assembling the Burger

  1. 5

    Prepare the Bun

While the patties are cooking, slice the pretzel rolls in half and toast them lightly on the grill until golden brown.

  2. 6

    Add Toppings

Once the patties are done, place a slice of goat cheese on each patty and let it melt slightly. Assemble the burger by placing the patty on the bottom half of the pretzel roll, adding a handful of field greens, a few slices of red onion, and a generous spoonful of sun-dried tomato jam. Top with the other half of the pretzel roll.
