Preheat the oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.

Melt the butter
In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Remove from heat once melted and let it cool slightly.

Mix sugars
Stir in the granulated sugar and brown sugar into the melted butter until well combined.

Add eggs and vanilla
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

Combine dry ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.

Combine wet and dry ingredients
Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Do not overmix.

Add chocolate chips
Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
Baking

Pour batter into pan
Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

Remove from the oven and let the brownies cool in the pan for about 10-15 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
