Chicken Preparation
- 1
Season the Chicken
Rub the chicken breasts with olive oil, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder evenly on both sides.
- 2
Cook the Chicken
Grill or pan-fry the seasoned chicken breasts over medium heat for about 6-7 minutes per side until fully cooked (internal temperature of 165°F). Remove from heat and let rest.
Bacon Cooking
- 3
Cook the Bacon
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon strips until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Transfer to paper towels to drain excess grease.
Assembling the Sandwich
- 4
Toast the Bun
Slice the pretzel buns in half and toast them lightly in the same skillet or in a toaster until golden brown.
- 5
Prepare the Toppings
Slice the tomato into rounds. Have the lettuce leaves and garlic mayo ready.
- 6
Build the Sandwich
On the bottom half of each pretzel bun, layer the lettuce, cooked chicken breast, bacon, Swiss cheese, and tomato slices. Spread garlic mayo on the top half of the bun and place it on top.
