Method

For the Tagliata

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Season the beef steak with salt and black pepper on both sides.

  2. 2

    Heat the Pan

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.

  3. 3

    Cook the Steak

Add the seasoned steak to the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until your desired doneness is reached.

  4. 4

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for at least 5 minutes before slicing it thinly against the grain.

  5. 5

    Serve

Arrange the sliced steak on a serving platter over a bed of arugula and sprinkle with shaved Parmesan cheese.

For the Garlic Sauce

  1. 6

    Prepare the Sauce

In a small bowl, combine minced garlic, mayonnaise, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper.

  2. 7

    Mix Together

Mix everything together until smooth and creamy. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.

For the Rosemary Potatoes

  1. 8

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).

  2. 9

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and cut the potatoes into quarters. In a bowl, toss the potatoes with olive oil, fresh rosemary, salt, and black pepper.

  3. 10

    Bake the Potatoes

Spread the potatoes on a baking sheet in a single layer and bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until golden and crispy.
