Method

Preparing the Bread Pudding

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. 2

    Soak the Bread

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cubed bread and raisins. Set aside.

  3. 3

    Mix the Custard

In another bowl, whisk together the milk, heavy cream, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt until well combined.

  4. 4

    Combine Ingredients

Pour the custard mixture over the bread and raisins. Gently stir to ensure all the bread is soaked. Let it sit for about 10 minutes.

  5. 5

    Bake

Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13 inch baking dish and bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.

Making the Whipped Cream

  1. 6

    Whip the Cream

In a mixing bowl, beat the heavy cream with an electric mixer on medium speed until it starts to thicken.

  2. 7

    Add Sugar and Vanilla

Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, then continue to whip until soft peaks form.

  3. 8

    Serve

Once the bread pudding is baked, let it cool slightly. Serve warm with a generous dollop of whipped cream on top.
