Method

Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Prepare the Burger Patty

In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined.

  2. 2

    Form the Patty

Shape the mixture into a patty about 1/2 inch thick. Make a small indentation in the center.

  3. 3

    Cook the Patty

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patty for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until desired doneness.

Pulled Pork

  1. 4

    Warm the Pulled Pork

In a small saucepan, heat the pulled pork and BBQ sauce over low heat, stirring until warmed through.

Beef Brisket

  1. 5

    Prepare the Brisket

Slice the beef brisket into thin strips and set aside for assembly.

Fried Green Tomato

  1. 6

    Slice the Tomatoes

Slice the green tomatoes into 1/4 inch thick slices and set aside.

  2. 7

    Prepare Breading Station

In a shallow bowl, mix the cornmeal and flour together. In another bowl, beat the egg with milk.

  3. 8

    Bread the Tomato Slices

Dip each tomato slice in the egg mixture, then dredge in the cornmeal mixture to coat.

  4. 9

    Fry the Tomatoes

In a skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Fry the breaded tomato slices for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.

Onion Rings

  1. 10

    Soak Onion Rings

Slice the onion into rings and soak in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes.

  2. 11

    Bread the Onion Rings

In a bowl, coat the soaked onion rings with breadcrumbs.

  3. 12

    Fry the Onion Rings

In a skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Fry the onion rings for about 3-5 minutes until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.

Coleslaw

  1. 13

    Prepare the Vegetables

Shred the cabbage and carrot, then combine them in a bowl.

  2. 14

    Make the Dressing

In a separate bowl, mix mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, and salt. Pour over the cabbage mixture and toss to combine.

  3. 15

    Chill the Coleslaw

Chill the coleslaw in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Fried Egg

  1. 16

    Fry the Egg

In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Crack the egg into the skillet and cook until the white is set but the yolk is still runny, about 2-3 minutes.

Burger Assembly

  1. 17

    Assemble the Burger

Place the cooked patty on the bottom half of the burger bun. Layer with warm pulled pork, beef brisket, fried green tomato, onion rings, coleslaw, and top with the fried egg.

  2. 18

    Serve

Place the top half of the bun on the assembled burger and serve immediately.
