Pulled Pork Preparation
- 1
Season the Pork
In a small bowl, mix together smoked paprika, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Rub this spice mixture all over the pork shoulder.
- 2
Cook the Pork
Place the seasoned pork shoulder in a slow cooker. Add apple cider vinegar. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or high for 4-5 hours until the pork is tender and easily shredded.
- 3
Shred the Pork
Once cooked, remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks. Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker and mix in the barbecue sauce. Let it cook on low for an additional 30 minutes to meld the flavors.
