Method

Preparing the Ribs

  1. 1

Remove the membrane from the back of the baby back ribs for better flavor and tenderness.

  2. 2

Generously apply Doc’s Remedy spice blend all over the ribs, ensuring they are well coated. Allow the ribs to sit for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors penetrate.

Smoking the Ribs

  1. 3

    Preheat the Smoker

Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C).

  2. 4

    Smoke the Ribs

Place the seasoned ribs in the smoker bone-side down. Smoke for approximately 5-6 hours, or until the ribs are tender and the meat pulls away from the bone easily.

Preparing Texas Toast

  1. 5

    Toast the Bread

During the last 15 minutes of smoking, place the Texas toast slices on the grill or in the oven to toast until golden brown.

Serving

  1. 6

    Plate the Ribs

Once the ribs are done, remove them from the smoker and let them rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing.

  2. 7

    Serve

Serve the sliced ribs alongside the toasted Texas toast.
