Method

Prepare the Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Mix the Beef

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently with your hands until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

  2. 2

    Shape the Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a patty about 1 inch thick.

  3. 3

    Indent the Patties

Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty with your thumb to help them cook evenly.

Cook the Burger Patty

  1. 4

    Preheat the Grill/Skillet

Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, place the patties on the grill or skillet.

  2. 5

    Cook the Patties

Cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes on one side until browned. Flip the patties and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes for medium doneness.

Prepare the Toppings

  1. 6

    Prepare the Vegetables

While the burgers are cooking, wash and dry the lettuce leaves. Slice the tomato into thick slices and the onion into thin rings.

Cook the French Fries

  1. 7

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  2. 8

    Fry the French Fries

Add the frozen French fries to the hot oil in batches, cooking until golden brown and crispy, about 3-5 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 9

    Place the Patty

Once the patties are cooked to your liking, place each patty on the bottom half of the brioche bun.

  2. 10

    Add the Toppings

Layer the lettuce, tomato slices, onion rings, and pickles on top of the patty. Place the top half of the bun on the assembled burger.

Serve

  1. 11

    Serve the Meal

Serve the burger hot alongside the crispy French fries.
