Fried Pickles

Prepare the Batter
In a large bowl, combine the flour, cornmeal, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well.

Dip the Pickles
Pour the buttermilk into a separate bowl. Dip each pickle chip into the buttermilk, then dredge in the flour mixture until well coated.

Heat the Oil
In a deep skillet or frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

Fry the Pickles
Carefully add the battered pickle chips to the hot oil in batches. Fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Mix the Ingredients
In a medium bowl, combine the sour cream, mayonnaise, and buttermilk. Whisk until smooth.

Add the dried dill, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to combine. Adjust seasoning to taste.

Refrigerate the ranch dressing for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
