Base Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Coffee

Brew 1 cup of espresso coffee and let it cool to room temperature. If desired, stir in 2 tablespoons of coffee liqueur.

  2. 2

    Make the Mascarpone Mixture

In a large mixing bowl, combine 16 oz of mascarpone cheese, 1 cup of granulated sugar, and 1 tsp of vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.

  3. 3

    Whip the Cream

In another bowl, whip 1 cup of heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until fully incorporated.

Assembly

  1. 4

    Soak the Ladyfingers

Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the cooled espresso coffee, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy.

  2. 5

    Layer the Tiramisu

In a 9x9 inch dish, arrange a layer of soaked ladyfingers at the bottom. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers. Repeat with another layer of soaked ladyfingers and the remaining mascarpone mixture.

  3. 6

    Chill

Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.

Finishing Touch

  1. 7

    Serve

Before serving, dust the top with 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder. Slice and enjoy your classic Tiramisu!
