Prepare the Coffee
Brew 1 cup of espresso coffee and let it cool to room temperature. If desired, stir in 2 tablespoons of coffee liqueur.

Make the Mascarpone Mixture
In a large mixing bowl, combine 16 oz of mascarpone cheese, 1 cup of granulated sugar, and 1 tsp of vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.

Whip the Cream
In another bowl, whip 1 cup of heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until fully incorporated.

Soak the Ladyfingers
Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the cooled espresso coffee, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy.

Layer the Tiramisu
In a 9x9 inch dish, arrange a layer of soaked ladyfingers at the bottom. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers. Repeat with another layer of soaked ladyfingers and the remaining mascarpone mixture.

Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
