Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Slice the beef sirloin into thin strips. Chop the onion, slice the mushrooms, and mince the garlic.

Cooking the Beef

  1. 2

    Sear the Beef

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Season the beef strips with salt and pepper. Add the beef to the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.

Cooking the Vegetables

  1. 3

    Sauté the Vegetables

In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and cook for 2-3 minutes until translucent. Add the sliced mushrooms and minced garlic, and cook for another 5 minutes until the mushrooms are tender.

Making the Sauce

  1. 4

    Create the Sauce

Sprinkle the flour over the sautéed vegetables and stir for 1 minute. Gradually add the beef broth while stirring to combine. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes until slightly thickened.

  2. 5

    Finish the Sauce

Reduce the heat to low, then stir in the sour cream and Worcestershire sauce until smooth. Add the cooked beef back into the skillet, stirring to coat the beef with the sauce.

Cooking the Pasta

  1. 6

    Cook the Noodles

In a separate pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the egg noodles and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 7-9 minutes. Drain and set aside.

Serving

  1. 7

    Plate the Dish

Serve the creamy beef stroganoff over the cooked egg noodles. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
