Prepare the naan
- 1
Activate Yeast
In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and active dry yeast. Stir gently and let it sit for about 10 minutes until frothy.
- 2
Make the Dough
In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour and salt. Once the yeast mixture is frothy, add it to the flour mixture along with yogurt and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.
- 3
Knead
Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
- 4
Let it Rise
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
Prepare the filling
- 5
Combine Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, diced bell pepper, sliced red onion, chopped cilantro, cumin powder, chili powder, salt, black pepper, and lemon juice. Mix well to combine.
Prepare the sauce

Mix Sauce Ingredients
In a small bowl, combine Greek yogurt, minced garlic, grated cucumber, chopped dill, and salt. Stir well and set aside.
Cook the naan
- 7
Shape the Naan
Once the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into 4 equal portions. Roll each portion into a ball and then flatten it into an oval shape.
- 8
Cook
Preheat a skillet or tandoor over medium-high heat. Cook each naan for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
Assemble the rolls
- 9
Fill the Naan
Place a generous amount of the filling mixture in the center of each naan. Drizzle with the yogurt sauce.
- 10
Roll and Serve
Roll the naan tightly around the filling and serve warm. Enjoy your Wrestler's Naan Roll!
