Preparing the Bun Maska

Toast the Milk Bread Rolls
Slice the milk bread rolls in half. In a pan or griddle, add 1 tablespoon of butter and let it melt over medium heat. Place the sliced rolls cut-side down and toast until golden brown. Repeat with the remaining rolls.

Butter the Rolls
Once toasted, remove the rolls from the pan and spread 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter on each half while they are still warm. Sprinkle a pinch of sugar on top for added sweetness.
Making the Chai

Boil Water
In a saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil over medium-high heat.

Add Tea and Spices
Once the water is boiling, add 2 tablespoons of loose black tea leaves, 4 crushed green cardamom pods, and 1 teaspoon of grated ginger. Let it boil for about 5 minutes.

Strain the Chai
Using a strainer, pour the chai into cups to remove the tea leaves and spices. Serve hot.
