Method
For the Naan
- 1
Activate the Yeast
In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Stir gently and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until foamy.
- 2
Make the Dough
In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Once the yeast mixture is foamy, add it along with yogurt to the flour. Mix until a dough forms.
- 3
Knead the Dough
Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- 4
Let it Rise
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- 5
Shape the Naan
After rising, punch down the dough and divide it into 4 equal portions. Roll each portion into an oval shape.
- 6
Cook the Naan
Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook each naan for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
For the Filling
- 7
Cook the Bacon
In a skillet, cook the bacon slices over medium heat until crispy. Remove and let drain on paper towels.
- 8
To Assemble
- 9
Fill the Naan
Take a naan, add a generous amount of the bacon filling to the center, then fold or roll it up.
- 10
Serve
Serve the bacon naan rolls warm with a dollop of sour cream and lime wedges on the side.
