Dumpling Filling

Method

Dumpling Preparation

1

Prepare the Filling

In a medium bowl, combine the ground chicken, sweet onion, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, salt, black pepper, and green onions. Mix well to combine all ingredients thoroughly.

2

Make the Dumpling Wrappers

Using store-bought dumpling wrappers or homemade dough, lay out one wrapper at a time on a clean surface. Place about 1 tablespoon of filling in the center of each wrapper.

3

Fold the Dumplings

Moisten the edges of the wrapper with a little water. Fold the wrapper over the filling to create a half-moon shape, pressing the edges to seal. You can also pleat the edges for a decorative touch.

4

Cook the Dumplings

Bring a steamer pot of water to a boil. Place the dumplings in the steamer basket, making sure they do not touch. Steam for about 12-15 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked.

5

Serve

Remove the dumplings from the steamer and serve hot with your choice of dipping sauce.
