Method

Roasted Turkey

    Preheat Oven

    Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).

    Prepare Turkey

    Rub the turkey with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, and rosemary.

    Roast Turkey

    Place the turkey in a roasting pan and roast for about 2 to 3 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

Potato Gratin

    Prepare Potatoes

    Slice the potatoes thinly and layer them in a greased baking dish.

    Mix Cream and Cheese

    In a bowl, mix heavy cream, minced garlic, salt, and pepper, then pour over the potatoes. Sprinkle cheddar cheese on top.

    Bake Gratin

    Bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 45 minutes or until golden and bubbly.

Gravy

    Make Roux

    In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat, whisk in flour, and cook for 2 minutes.

    Add Drippings and Broth

    Add turkey drippings and chicken broth, whisking until smooth. Simmer until thickened, about 5 minutes.

    Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Dressing Vegetables

    Sauté Vegetables

    In a skillet, sauté chopped celery, onion, and carrots until soft.

    Add Broth and Seasonings

    Add chicken broth, sage, salt, and pepper. Simmer for about 10 minutes.
