Make the Waffle Batter
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, malted milk powder, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, beat eggs and then add milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.

Make the Shortbread Crumble
In a bowl, mix together butter, flour, sugar, and a pinch of salt until crumbly. Spread onto a baking sheet and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15-20 minutes until golden brown, stirring halfway through.

In a mixing bowl, beat heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.

Preheat your waffle iron. Pour the batter into the waffle iron and cook according to the manufacturer's instructions until golden brown.
