Method
Dough Preparation
- 1
Mix the Dough
In a mixing bowl, combine rice flour and salt. Gradually add warm water while stirring until a smooth dough forms.
- 2
Knead the Dough
Knead the dough on a clean surface for about 5 minutes until it becomes elastic. Cover it with a damp cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.
Filling Preparation
- 3
Prepare the Filling
In a large bowl, combine ground pork, finely chopped mushrooms, garlic oil, soy sauce, chopped green onions, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
Assembling the Rolls
- 4
Roll out the Dough
Divide the rested dough into small balls. On a floured surface, roll each ball into a thin circle about 5 inches in diameter.
- 5
Fill the Dough
Place a spoonful of the pork filling in the center of each dough circle. Fold the dough over to form a half-moon shape and pinch the edges to seal.
Steaming the Rolls
- 6
Prepare the Steamer
Set up a steamer pot over medium heat. Line the steamer basket with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
- 7
Steam the Rolls
Place the filled rolls in the steamer basket, making sure they don’t touch each other. Steam for 15-20 minutes until the dough is cooked through.
Serving
- 8
Plate and Garnish
Once cooked, carefully remove the rolls from the steamer. Garnish with sesame seeds and fresh cilantro before serving.
