Method
Marinating the Chicken
- 1
- 2
Marinate the Chicken
Place the boneless chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring it is well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours for more flavor.
Grilling the Chicken
- 3
Preheat the Grill
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F to 400°F).
- 4
Grill the Chicken
Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the marinade. Place the chicken breasts on the grill. Grill for about 6-7 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F and the chicken is no longer pink in the center.
Assembling the Sandwich
- 5
Prepare the Buns
Toast the hamburger buns on the grill for about 1-2 minutes until they are lightly browned.
- 6
Assemble the Sandwich
Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Place a grilled chicken breast on top, followed by a leaf of romaine lettuce, a slice of tomato, and cheese if desired. Top with the other half of the bun.
