Chicken Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Brush the chicken breasts with olive oil and season with salt and black pepper.
- 2
Grill the Chicken
Place the seasoned chicken breasts on the grill and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- 3
Add BBQ Sauce
During the last few minutes of grilling, brush the chicken breasts with BBQ sauce. Allow the sauce to caramelize slightly on the chicken.
- 4
Rest the Chicken
Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
Coleslaw Preparation
- 5
Mix the Coleslaw Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine the shredded cabbage, shredded carrots, mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly coated.
- 6
Chill the Coleslaw
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
Sandwich Assembly
- 7
Assemble the Sandwich
Slice the grilled chicken breasts and place them on the bottom half of the burger buns. Top the chicken with a generous amount of coleslaw and cover with the top half of the buns.
- 8
