Meatballs
- 1
Prepare the Meatball Mixture
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, minced garlic, egg, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
- 2
Form the Meatballs
Using your hands, form the mixture into small balls, about the size of a golf ball, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- 3
Bake the Meatballs
Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F). Place the baking sheet with meatballs in the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes or until they are browned and cooked through.

Prepare the Sauce
Add the crushed tomatoes, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper to the saucepan. Stir to combine and let it simmer for about 10 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
- 6
Add Fresh Basil
Stir in the chopped fresh basil just before serving to keep its vibrant flavor.
Pasta
- 7
Cook the Spaghetti
In a large pot, bring water to a boil and add a tablespoon of salt. Once boiling, add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually around 8-10 minutes.
- 8
Drain the Spaghetti
Once cooked, drain the spaghetti in a colander and set aside.
Combine and Serve
- 9
Combine Meatballs and Sauce
In the saucepan with the sauce, add the baked meatballs and simmer for an additional 5 minutes, allowing the meatballs to absorb the flavors of the sauce.
- 10
Serve
Plate the spaghetti and top with the meatball sauce. Garnish with extra Parmesan cheese and parsley if desired.
