1. Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). This ensures even baking of the cakes.

2. Melt Chocolate and Butter

In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the dark chocolate and unsalted butter. Heat in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until fully melted and smooth.

3. Mix Dry Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, flour, and salt until combined.

4. Combine Mixtures

Pour the melted chocolate mixture into the dry ingredient bowl. Add the eggs, egg yolks, and vanilla extract. Mix until just combined; do not overmix.

5. Prepare Ramekins

Grease four ramekins with butter and dust lightly with flour, tapping out the excess. This ensures easy release after baking.

6. Fill Ramekins

Divide the batter evenly among the prepared ramekins, filling each about 2/3rds full.

7. Bake

Place the ramekins on a baking tray and bake in the preheated oven for 12-14 minutes, or until the edges are firm but the center is still soft.

8. Cool and Serve

Let the cakes cool in the ramekins for 1 minute, then carefully invert onto plates. Serve warm for the molten center effect.
