Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). This slow cooking technique will render the fat and make the ribs tender.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Ribs

Rinse the short end ribs under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. This step helps to achieve a nice crust on the outside.

  3. 3

    Season the Ribs

In a small bowl, combine the salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. Rub this seasoning mix all over the ribs, ensuring an even coating.

  4. 4

    Bake the Ribs

Place the seasoned ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Cover with another piece of foil to trap moisture. Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, until the meat is tender and pulls away from the bone.

  5. 5

    Glaze with BBQ Sauce

Remove the ribs from the oven and discard the top layer of foil. Brush the BBQ sauce generously on all sides of the ribs.

  6. 6

    Final Cook

Increase the oven temperature to 400°F (200°C) and return the ribs to the oven uncovered. Bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until the sauce is caramelized and sticky.

  7. 7

    Serve the Ribs

Remove the ribs from the oven and let them rest for about 10 minutes. Cut into individual portions and serve with extra BBQ sauce on the side.
