BBQ Ribs Ingredients

Method

BBQ Ribs Directions

  1. 1

    Preparation of Ribs

Begin by trimming excess fat from the short end ribs. Pat them dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

    Making the Rub

In a small mixing bowl, combine the brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Mix well until evenly combined.

  3. 3

    Applying the Rub

Rub the spice mixture all over the short end ribs, ensuring they are well coated on all sides. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight for enhanced flavor.

  4. 4

    Preheating Oven

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). This low and slow cooking method will make the ribs tender.

  5. 5

    Cooking the Ribs

Place the coated ribs in a baking dish, cover it with aluminum foil, and bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours.

  6. 6

    Preparing the BBQ Sauce

While the ribs are baking, combine the BBQ sauce, apple cider vinegar, and honey in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir until it’s heated through.

  7. 7

    Glazing the Ribs

After the ribs have baked for 2.5 to 3 hours, remove them from the oven and uncover. Brush the ribs generously with the prepared BBQ sauce.

  8. 8

    Finishing on the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Transfer the sauced ribs to the grill and cook for an additional 10-15 minutes, turning and basting with the sauce occasionally until caramelized.

  9. 9

    Serving

Remove the ribs from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before slicing. Serve hot with extra BBQ sauce on the side.
