Cooking BBQ Ribs
- 1
Prepare the Ribs
Take the pork ribs out of the package and pat them dry with paper towels. This helps the seasoning to stick better.
- 2
Make the Dry Rub
In a bowl, mix together the brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper until well combined to create your dry rub.
- 3
Apply the Rub
Generously rub the dry mixture over both sides of the ribs. Make sure to press it into the meat for maximum flavor.
- 4
Wrap and Rest
Wrap the seasoned ribs in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (or overnight for best flavor) to allow the rub to penetrate the meat.
- 5
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
- 6
Cook the Ribs
Place the wrapped ribs on a baking sheet and cook in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, until the ribs are tender.
- 7
- 8
Finish with Broil
Place the sauced ribs under the broiler for about 5-7 minutes, or until the sauce caramelizes and bubbles. Keep an eye on it to avoid burning.
