Cooking Directions
Cook the Pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the tagliatelle pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Prepare the Sauce
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until the onion is translucent.
Add Sausage
Remove the casing from the spicy Italian sausage and crumble it into the skillet. Cook until browned and cooked through.
Combine Tomatoes and Cream
Add the chopped Roma tomatoes and red pepper flakes to the skillet. Cook for about 5 minutes until the tomatoes are softened. Stir in the heavy cream and simmer for another 5 minutes.
Mix Pasta and Sauce
Add the cooked tagliatelle to the skillet, tossing to coat the pasta in the sauce. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Serve
Plate the tagliatelle Bolognese, garnishing with fresh basil and grated Parmesan cheese. Serve hot.
