In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Use a wooden spoon to break it into small pieces as it cooks.

- 4
Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. This allows the flavors to meld together.
- 5
While the sloppy joe mixture is simmering, toast the hamburger buns lightly on a separate skillet or under a broiler until golden brown.
- 6
Once the mixture is ready, spoon a generous portion onto the bottom half of each toasted hamburger bun.
- 7
Top each serving with shredded cheddar cheese and cover with the top half of the bun.
- 8
Serve immediately with fries on the side.
