Method
BBQ Ribs
- 1
Prepare the Ribs
Remove the membrane from the back of the pork ribs and trim excess fat. Rinse the ribs under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
- 2
Season the Ribs
In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Rub this spice mixture evenly over both sides of the ribs.
- 3
Slow Cook the Ribs
Place the seasoned ribs in a slow cooker. Pour the BBQ sauce over the ribs, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours, or until the ribs are tender and easily pull away from the bone.
- 4
Prepare Baked Beans
While the ribs are cooking, heat the canned baked beans in a saucepan over medium heat until warmed through, stirring occasionally.
- 5
Prepare Coleslaw
In a large bowl, combine the coleslaw mix with coleslaw dressing. Toss until the coleslaw is well coated, then refrigerate until ready to serve.
- 6
Serve the Ribs
Once the ribs are cooked, carefully remove them from the slow cooker and let them rest for a few minutes. Cut into portions and serve with baked beans and coleslaw on the side.
