Dumpling Filling

Method

Dumpling Preparation

1

Prepare the Filling

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, finely chopped green onions, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.

2

Assemble the Dumplings

Take one dumpling wrapper and place about 1 tablespoon of the chicken filling in the center. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water using your finger. Fold the wrapper in half to create a half-moon shape, pressing the edges together to seal. Make sure there are no air pockets. Repeat this process with the remaining wrappers and filling.

3

Cook the Dumplings

You can choose to steam, boil, or pan-fry the dumplings. To steam, place them in a steamer basket lined with parchment paper, cover, and steam for about 10-12 minutes until cooked through. To boil, bring a pot of water to a boil, add the dumplings, and cook for about 5-7 minutes. For pan-frying, heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat, add a small amount of oil, place the dumplings in the skillet, and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown, then add a splash of water, cover, and steam for an additional 5 minutes.

4

Serve

Once cooked, serve the dumplings hot with a side of soy sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
