Method

Prepare the Tea Base

  1. 1

    Boil Water

In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil over high heat.

  2. 2

    Steep Tea

Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and add 4 black tea bags. Cover and let steep for 5-7 minutes, depending on how strong you prefer your tea.

  3. 3

    Remove Tea Bags

After steeping, carefully remove the tea bags and discard them.

Sweeten the Tea (optional)

  1. 4

    Add Sweetener

If you prefer sweetened iced tea, stir in 1 cup of granulated sugar, 0.5 cup of honey, or 1 tsp of stevia while the tea is still warm. Stir until fully dissolved.

Flavor the Tea (optional)

  1. 5

    Add Flavorings

For added flavor, stir in 0.5 cups of lemon juice, 0.5 cups of fresh mint leaves, or 1 cup of peach slices. Mix well to combine.

Chill and Serve

  1. 6

    Chill the Tea

Allow the tea to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour to chill.

  2. 7

    Serve

To serve, fill glasses with 2 cups of ice cubes, pour the chilled tea over the ice, and garnish with lemon slices. Enjoy your refreshing iced tea!
