Hot Chicken Preparation

Marinate the Chicken
In a large bowl, combine the buttermilk and hot sauce. Add the chicken breasts, ensuring they are fully submerged. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.

Bread the Chicken
Remove the chicken from the marinade and allow excess to drip off. Dredge each piece in the flour mixture, ensuring an even coating. Shake off any excess flour.

Fry the Chicken
In a large skillet or deep fryer, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Carefully add the breaded chicken pieces and fry for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Prepare the Potatoes
Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin strips or wedges, depending on your preference.

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the oil to 350°F (175°C).

Carefully add the potato strips to the hot oil in batches and fry for about 4-6 minutes or until golden and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels, then sprinkle with salt.
