Chicken Tenders
Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Cut the chicken breasts into strips, approximately 1 to 1.5 inches wide. Pat dry with paper towels.
- 2
Set Up Breading Station
In three separate bowls, place the flour, beaten eggs, and bread crumbs mixed with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and cayenne pepper.
Breading
- 3
Coat the Chicken
Take each chicken strip and coat it in flour, shaking off the excess. Then dip it into the beaten eggs, allowing any excess to drip off, and finally coat it in the seasoned bread crumbs. Repeat for all chicken strips.
Cooking
- 4
Heat Oil
In a large skillet, heat the cooking oil over medium-high heat until shimmering but not smoking.
- 5
Fry the Tenders
Carefully add the breaded chicken tenders to the hot oil, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Use a meat thermometer to ensure an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
- 6
Drain and Serve
Once cooked, transfer the chicken tenders to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Serve hot with your choice of dipping sauce.
